Interim Manager / Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

You’re an experienced leader who takes on responsibility at our clients’ sites — and shows them firsthand how AI makes their work easier. You don’t sell automation through slide decks; you lead by example.

What You’ll Do

You take on demanding interim engagements
From acute staffing gaps to finance department leadership.
You identify where team and AI should go to work first
And guide the rollout together with the client’s team.
You bring the client’s employees along for the ride
You build trust and turn skepticism into enthusiasm.
You lead — at the client and, looking ahead, within the SSC
Your leadership experience counts on both sides.
You stabilize accounting in critical phases
You bring calm and structure when it matters most.
You own financial close under HGB and US-GAAP
Comfortable with external auditors and group-level reporting requirements.
You analyze and improve existing processes
You leave behind more than just a filled vacancy.
You represent Accounting Factory at the client
You’re the face of quality and innovation.
You manage reporting and month-end close
You deliver reliable numbers by the deadline.
You advise the client’s senior managementn
On equal footing and with clear, actionable recommendations.

What You Bring

Several years of experience in interim or as Head of Accounting
Ideally across different industries and company sizes.
Solid command of HGB and US-GAAP
In dealing with external auditors and within group structures.
Leadership experience — permanent or interim
You step into responsibility without a long ramp-up.
Technical authority and empathy in equal measure
You can lead — and bring people with you. Both.
Experience in change and process management
You shape change instead of just administering it.
Openness to AI
You’re convinced that AI strengthens good finance work rather than replacing it.
Willingness to travel for client engagements
You go where you’re needed.
Confident presence at the decision-maker level
You communicate comfortably with management and supervisory boards.
Professional German at a business-fluent level (written and spoken)
Client communication, contracts, and regulatory documentation require precise command of the German language.
